Katherine (Kate) Williams joins the CMU Cross Country Ski Team from Summit County, Colorado, where she has been an active part of the Summit Nordic Ski Club (SNSC) since middle school. She began skiing in 6th grade, inspired by her sister, and quickly developed a strong passion for the sport that has carried through all four years of high school competition.
Kate will be studying Nursing as part of the pre-nursing program at Colorado Mesa University. She brings a positive, team-oriented mindset to the group and genuinely enjoys both racing and supporting her teammates.
During her senior season, Kate competed consistently across CHSAA races, including the State Championships at Snow Mountain Ranch. Her results show steady development across both skate and classic disciplines, highlighted by strong finishes in large fields throughout the season.
Outside of skiing, Kate loves being outdoors and also enjoys mountain biking. And like any true racer, she has her go-to recovery fuel dialed - gummy bears.
Kate adds great energy, consistency, and a love for the sport to the team, and we’re excited to have her in the program,
