This handbook outlines the responsibilities, requirements, and club policies for student-athletes of Colorado Mesa University Cross Country Skiing, serving as a resource for them. It has been written by the head coach solely for the benefit of participating students.

The team competes in the Rocky Mountain Conference of the U.S. Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association (USCSA) and, upon qualification, at the USCSA National Championships, held alternately at Lake Placid, NY, and Mt. Bachelor, OR.
Conference races include two events per weekend starting in January:
- Colorado Mesa University Invitational at Snow Mountain Ranch, Colorado
- 15 km Mass Start Classic
- Skate Sprint
- Western Colorado University Invitational in Crested Butte, Colorado
- 21 km Mass Start Skate
- 5 km Classic
- Colorado State University Invitational in Leadville, Colorado
- 10 km Classic
- Mixed-Gender Skate Team Relay
- University of Wyoming Invitational in Laramie, Wyoming
- 15 km Mass Start Classic
- 7.5 km Freestyle Interval Start
USCSA National Championships, held in March:
- 7.5 km Skate
- Classic Sprint
- 15 km Classic
- Team Relay
