Mya Taylor is a sophomore at Colorado Mesa University, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with the goal of working in the NICU. Originally from Kenai, Alaska, she has been skiing since the age of four and developed her background through youth programs and competitive Nordic skiing throughout middle and high school.
She was also a varsity cross country and track athlete, building a strong endurance foundation. Mya came to CMU looking for a new environment and brings a thoughtful, team-first mindset, valuing kindness, hard work, and respect. Outside of skiing, she enjoys hiking, camping, and biking.
At the 2026 USCSA National Championships in Lake Placid, Mya put together a solid and determined set of races in a deep and competitive field. She showed consistency across the week, skiing with control and confidence while continuing to build experience at the national level. Her performances reflected her strong endurance background and racing composure, and she contributed valuable depth to the team.
