WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT?

Get the right skis.
Buying cross country ski equipment can be confusing. Ski length alone doesn’t tell you whether a ski is right for you.
CMU Cross Country Ski Team athletes will be there to help. We can help you think through ski selection, sizing and fit so your classic, skate or touring equipment makes sense for your weight, ability and goals.
We want you to leave with gear you’ll enjoy skiing, not simply gear someone wanted to sell.

Have gear
to sell?
Bring your used cross country skis, boots, poles, rollerskis, apparel and other equipment to the swap and let us handle the selling.
The CMU Cross Country Ski Team handles the sales and accounting. You do not need to stay at the swap or manage transactions yourself.
Twenty percent of the sale supports the CMU Cross Country Ski Team and helps our student-athletes with training, equipment and competition expenses.

FOR BUSINESSES & RETAILERS
Two simple ways to sell at the swap.
Sell at the swap your way: manage your own sales or let us handle them for you.
OPTION 1
You handle your own sales.
Bring your gear, set up your own point-of-sale system, and handle everything yourselves. We can provide some racks and tables.
After you’ve settled your sales, we simply ask for 20% of your total sales as a tax-deductible donation to the team, which you can mail to us later.
You do not need to provide us with any sales documentation. It is an honor system.
Best if you want to staff your own space, work directly with customers and manage your own transactions.
OPTION 2
We sell the gear for you.
Give us your inventory and we’ll use our tags, sales system and accounting. The CMU Cross Country Ski Team handles the transactions for you.
CMU will mail you a check for your proceeds, less the 20% contribution to the team, within about 10 days after the swap.
We did this last year with individual consignors and a couple of vendors, and everyone seemed very happy with how smoothly it worked.
Best if you want to participate without staffing a booth or bringing your own point-of-sale system.
