A significant portion of the operational costs for CMU Cross Country Skiing is covered by tuition support and club supporters. On average, the club incurs and fully covers approximately $7,000 in expenses per student per season. Student club members also benefit from additional high-value privileges. Students contribute to this funding by paying club dues.

What's Included

The team attempts to cover most of the participation costs, to include:

  • Coaching

Your Costs

Each athlete needs to budget the following costs per academic year:

  • Club fee:
    • $750 per season for the returning students
    • $1,350 for new students, includes team apparel: race suit, warmup jacket, warmup pants, down jacket
  • Cost of own skis, ski boots and poles
  • $40 annual USCSA athlete registration fee
  • $500 in optional camp and personal expenses
