How to Join

The program provides awesome opportunities to both aspiring and accomplished athletes. Athletes must be full-time undergraduate or graduate students (some exceptions apply) and are expected to maintain a GPA of 2.0, meet the USCSA Eligibility criteria, and meet practice participation requirements. Seniors in high school, current CMU students or incoming students are welcome to apply.

In 2025-26 season, the CMU Cross Country Ski Team will be limited to a maximum of 10 athletes, divided into two groups:

  • National Race Team: 6 athletes (3 men, 3 women)
  • Development Team: 4 athletes

All team members will compete in Conference races, but only the 6 athletes on the National Race Team will represent CMU at the USCSA National Championships.
